2.1. Video Uploads

• Data: The video file you upload
• Purpose: AI-powered cat behavior analysis
• Legal basis: Your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a))
• Retention: Automatically deleted within 24 hours after analysis

2.2. Analysis Results

• Data: AI-generated behavior analysis, your notes and answers
• Purpose: Displaying your results and allowing you to review them later
• Legal basis: Performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b))
• Retention: 90 days, or upon your request at any time

2.3. Technical Data

• Data: IP address, browser type, session identifier
• Purpose: Service operation and abuse prevention
• Legal basis: Legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f))
• Retention: 30 days

2.4. Payment Data

• Data: Transaction ID, amount, date
• Purpose: Payment processing and tax compliance
• Legal basis: Legal obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c))
• Retention: 8 years (as required by applicable tax law)

We do NOT store your credit card or payment card details. All card data is handled directly by our payment processor.

3. Cookies & Analytics

3.1. Essential Cookies

The session cookie (PHPSESSID) is required for the service to function. It does not contain personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

3.2. Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use our website. These tools collect anonymous statistics such as page views and visit counts.

• Automatic deletion of videos after analysis

7. Children's Privacy

ReadMyCat is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@readmycat.com and we will promptly delete such data. This is in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

8. International Data Transfers

ReadMyCat is operated by a Hungarian company. Your data may be processed in the European Union and/or the United States (for AI analysis via Google Gemini and analytics via Google Analytics). We ensure that any international data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.
